    Pre-Pointe/Pointe
To enroll in Pre-Pointe or Pointe classes, students must be concurrently enrolled in ballet.

Pointe work is a key component of classical ballet training, involving dancing on the tips of the fully extended feet while wearing reinforced pointe shoes. This technique requires a gradual preparation process to strengthen tendons and muscles, ensure proper turnout, maintain a straight back, and confirm that the feet have fully ossified. Additionally, a dancer must be psychologically ready for pointe work.

Pre-Pointe classes are designed for students in grades 6-12 and are required in addition to ballet classes. These classes focus on building the strength, turnout, posture, and psychological maturity needed for pointe work. The timing for beginning pointe work varies for each dancer and is determined by the instructors based on individual readiness.

Due to the physical demands of pointe work, consistent training is essential. Interruptions in training can hinder progress and may affect the dancer's ability to advance. Therefore, ballet dancers are expected to participate in classes year-round. Non-participation in summer classes may result in the student not advancing to the next level.
