Competition Dance at VSS DANCE
-
Dance competitions are about more than winning and losing. It’s about learning valuable lessons that students can use to improve as a dancer and as a person.
Some advantages you can expect as a competitive dancer are:
teamwork development
learn to accept and apply feedback
build resilience
form connections and friendships
Winston Churchill once said, “Success in not final. Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.”
If you have the courage to compete, you are sure to be a success in whatever you choose to do.
For students who have decided to take their dance education to the pre-professional level or the younger student who has more than average ability and interest, VSS Dance offers the option to become a competitive dancer.

Fundraising Options
We understand how competitive dance can be expensive. This year to allow as many students to be in competitive dance, we are going to introduce fundraising options for families who would like to participate. Profit from fundraisers will be applied to student’s competition entry fees and costumes.
