Why Levels?

At VSS Dance, we believe every dancer deserves the opportunity to grow at their own pace. That’s why we group our classes by skill level rather than by grade. Here’s why this approach works best for our students:

Level 1: Pre-Dance (18-36 Months)

Level 2: Pre-School Dance (Age 2/3)

Level 3: Pre-School 2 Dance (Age 4/5)

Level 4: Primary 1 (Kindergarten)

Level 5: Primary 2 (First Grade)

Level 6: Designed for Grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th

Level 7: Designed for Grades 4th, 5th, 6th

Level 8: Designed for Grades 6 & 7

Level 9: Designed for Grades 7, 8, 9

Level 10: Designed for Grades 9th through 12th

What Level Should My Child Be In?

If you’re unsure which class is the best fit for your dancer, we’re here to help! At VSS Dance, we group students by skill level to ensure they grow and thrive at their own pace.

Levels 6-10 must be enrolled in an Essential Dance Training Class before selecting additional classes. This class is designed to enhance technique, strength, and versatility across all dance styles.
